AVID LLC Sponsors Lecture Series for Entrepreneurs

On May 10, 2006, AVID LLC announced a new lecture series for entrepreneurs by entrepreneurs called "Shark Tales". This bi-monthly event features local success stories who share their experiences with other entrepreneurs. As an entrepreneurial success story, AVID LLC has sponsored this series to foster business growth in the New River Valley. "The Shark Tales series is a forum for us to share our challenges, our successes and our failures", stated Nanci Hardwick, CFO.

The May 24th event features Doug Juanarena and will be held at 8 a.m. in the Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center. The first event in March featured Tracy Wilkins, president and co-founder of TechLab, Inc. Dr. Wilkins discussed details of his entrepreneurial success with a group of business owners from the New River Valley. The series is co-sponsored by the NewVA Corridor Technology Council (NCTC), the Center for Innovative Technology (CIT), and the Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center. Future speakers include Victor Iannello of Synchrony Inc. and Vinod Chachra of VTLS Inc.
