Blacksburg, Virginia, February 9, 2007- Delegate Dave Nutter visited Blacksburg recently to meet with AVID LLC President Sam Wilson and CFO Nanci Hardwick to learn more about their operations, tour the AVID LLC facility, and to discuss Virginia's economic growth. Delegate Nutter (7th District, R) has served in the Virginia House of Delegates since 2002. He serves on several high level committees, including the Health, Welfare and Institutions Committee, and the Science and Technology Committee.

“AVID LLC impressed me with its rapid growth and ability to bring new high tech employment opportunities to Southwest Virginia,” said Delegate Nutter. “I am committed to economic development initiatives that benefit our community, and I was pleased with the various ways that AVID LLC can assist in these efforts. Founded in 2001, AVID LLC has offices in Blacksburg and Yorktown, Virginia. Customers include Honeywell, Boeing, AAI, DARPA, NASA, DRS, Orbital, U.S. Army, and the U.S. Air Force.

Software design tools include AVID OAV for modeling and simulation of ducted fan vehicles, AVID ACS for modeling and simulation of fixed wing vehicles, AVID PAGE for rapid geometry definition, and AVID SPOT for evaluating sensor and aircraft performance.
