Congress Shown FCS Spin-out Technologies By U.S. ARMY

October 10, 2007 - It's being called a few funny names: “beer keg UAV” and “scrubbing bubble” – but no matter – the Honeywell MAV, 50 of which are currently deployed in Iraq with the 25th Infantry Division (Light), is making itself known as a key player in the new Army.

“We are ultimately working toward an agile, globally responsive Army that is enhanced by modern networks, surveillance sensors, precision weapons and platforms that are lighter, less logistics-dependent and less manpower-intensive,” Army Chief of Staff Gen.
