Community

AVID employees are committed to serving both the aerospace community and the communities where we live and work. We look for opportunities to expand our influence by reaching out to those less fortunate and to inspire and educate our youth.

Our staff holds Adjunct Faculty Members with Virginia Tech, as well as several AIAA Technical Committee Members and Leadership.  We sponsor and mentor small design teams from Virginia Tech for competitions.

AVID works annually in the communities we live in to give back to those less fortunate or those in need.   Our Yorktown team performed a ‘while-you-were-out’ room makeover at a local women’s battered center.  Our Blacksburg team helped the local YMCA with construction of a solar greenhouse.
